Astrological Moodboard: Scorpio Season (October 23 – November 21, 2026)
Scorpio season has entered the room in a very good coat and immediately noticed who is avoiding whose eyes. The lighting is low. The dinner invitation is specific. “We should catch up sometime” will no longer be accepted as a plan.
For November, the mood is depth with a little breathing room: fewer obligations accepted on autopilot, better questions across the table, and wines that give you something interesting to talk about. That might mean a layered Italian red, an aromatic Greek white with seafood, or bubbles opened because everyone actually managed to arrive on time.
Welcome to your November Vinoscope: a playful wine horoscope for all twelve signs. Find your sign, borrow a little inspiration, and let your own taste make the final call. Wine descriptions draw on producers’ notes; the dinner ideas are suggestions for putting them to work.

Your Scorpio Season Wine Horoscope
♏ Scorpio (October 23 – November 21) — Let Someone Past the Velvet Rope
Happy birthday season, Scorpio. You have excellent instincts about atmosphere: the right corner table, the friend who can handle an honest answer, the exact moment a conversation has become performative. This month, put that discernment toward something more satisfying than silently collecting evidence.
Make the invitation. Ask the question. Tell someone what you would actually like to do for your birthday before they assemble a committee and book a restaurant you hate. Mystery is lovely on a wine label; it becomes rather inconvenient when everyone is trying to make a reservation.
Your match is Feudi di San Gregorio Taurasi 2019, an Aglianico from Campania that takes its time. The estate gives its Taurasi time in oak and then in bottle before release. Its 2019 notes suggest cherry, cinnamon and anise, with a full palate and rounded tannins. There’s a little patience behind that composed entrance. You can appreciate the commitment.
Take the wine’s unhurried approach as permission to let the evening unfold. Ask a real question and give the answer some room. You do not have to fill every pause or reveal your entire emotional history before the main course. A conversation can become intimate without being managed quite so closely.
Try the Taurasi with a slow braise or mushroom polenta and give yourself time to notice how the glass changes alongside dinner. Keep the guest list small enough for everyone to finish a sentence. Your birthday wish can be as simple as an evening you genuinely want to be at—and the confidence to say so.
♐ Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21) — Choose the Adventure You Can Actually Enjoy

Your November calendar is threatening to become a competitive sport. Before you agree to the dinner, the weekend away and the “quick” drink across town, leave yourself enough space to enjoy one of them. Curiosity works beautifully when it has time to linger.
Herdade do Esporão Reserva Red 2022 takes the evening to Portugal’s Alentejo without requiring an airport transfer. Alicante Bouschet, Trincadeira and Touriga Nacional are among the grapes in this red blend. The winemaker’s notes suggest blackberry, ripe plum and cinnamon, with freshness alongside the richness. Fruit and acidity can share the itinerary. Try it with grilled mushrooms or a steak dinner, then ask everyone about a place they would happily return to. Collect the story before booking the flight.
♑ Capricorn (December 22 – January 19) — Dinner Is Allowed to Be Finished

You can make a three-course dinner happen with the efficiency of a small, exceptionally well-dressed government. The danger is continuing to run it after everyone has sat down. Put the serving spoon within reach and accept that someone else can refill the water.
E. Guigal Côtes du Rhône Rouge 2023 is a red from the Rhône Valley, blending Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre. Guigal describes dark fruit, spice and rounded tannins: a useful direction for roast meats, charcuterie or a hearty bean dish. It has enough structure for a proper dinner without needing a ceremonial unveiling. Take your seat while the food is hot. That also counts as good planning.
♒ Aquarius (January 20 – February 18) — Make the Strange Idea Welcoming

Of course you have a different idea for the gathering. A tiny salon? A dramatically specific playlist? A dinner where everyone brings something they cannot explain buying? Lovely. Give your guests one clear instruction so they can participate without needing a briefing document.
Bonny Doon Le Cigare Volant 2023 supplies an appropriately unconventional name and a California red blend led by Grenache, with Syrah, Cinsault and Petite Sirah. The producer’s 2023 blend is a real ensemble, not a familiar grape in disguise. Its red-fruited, peppery direction suits a casual table of roasted vegetables and sausages. Let the conversation wander; make sure the chairs are comfortable. Originality is more fun when people feel included.
♓ Pisces (February 19 – March 20) — Keep One Lovely Thing Simple

You have imagined the candlelight, the flowers, the soundtrack and an emotional arc for dessert. Now select one detail and let it be enough. A bowl of pears on the table can do quite a lot of atmosphere work without anyone climbing a ladder to hang fabric.
Royal Tokaji Late Harvest 2023 (500 mL) brings a small bottle and a very good reason to linger over dessert. This sweet white from Hungary’s Tokaj region has producer notes of citrus, white peach and honey, with a crisp finish. Here, sweetness is part of the plan, not just a fruity aroma doing an impression of sugar. Serve a little chilled with baked pears or a simple fruit tart. The evening can be charming before it becomes cinematic.
♈ Aries (March 21 – April 19) — Start with a Better Question

You are very good at getting things moving. This month, practice the pause that lets someone else take the conversation somewhere interesting. Ask what surprised them lately, then resist the urge to answer your own question. A little suspense will not injure you.
Skouras Moscofilero 2025 gives that opening act a bright Greek accent. Made from Moschofilero in the Peloponnese, it has winemaker notes of white flowers, honeysuckle and lime, with lively acidity to keep things moving. Try it chilled with lemony shrimp or a plate of feta, olives and bread. There: something interesting to discuss before anyone announces their opinion as the final answer. Plenty of presence; no need to compete with the aperitif.
♉ Taurus (April 20 – May 20) — Upgrade the Ordinary Tuesday

There is a difference between having lovely things and making time to use them. This month, take the good bowl out of the cupboard. Cook the recipe you bookmarked because it sounded delicious, not because it looked impressive. You can have a beautiful dinner with the lamp you already own.
Rafael Palacios Louro Godello 2024 makes a persuasive case for using the good bowl. This Godello-led white comes from Valdeorras in northwestern Spain. Its 2024 winemaker notes suggest fennel and citrus, with a generous texture, freshness and a saline finish. Try it with roast chicken, buttery beans or a fish dish with a little richness. Set the table for the dinner you’re actually having. Tuesday does not need a committee’s permission to be lovely.
♊ Gemini (May 21 – June 20) — Give the Conversation a Through Line

Three stories, two excellent recommendations and a proposed weekend plan: all before the menus arrive. Your conversational range is a gift. Give one of those threads enough time to become an actual exchange this month. The friend with the quiet update may have the most interesting news.
Hugel Gentil 2024 understands the pleasure of bringing several grapes together. This dry Alsace white includes Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Muscat, Pinot Blanc and Sylvaner, combining aromatic interest with a fresh finish. Try it with a table of small dishes and let people choose their favorites. Variety works beautifully when the parts have room to connect.
♋ Cancer (June 21 – July 22) — Be a Guest at Your Own Table

You remember who likes the corner seat and who will say they are fine when they are actually hungry. Lovely skills. They do not require you to spend the entire gathering standing in the kitchen. Choose something you can put on the table and share, then stay there.
Domaine Pichot Vouvray 2023 is a Chenin Blanc from France’s Loire Valley, described by the producer as semi-dry, fresh and rounded. That gives you a comfortable direction for scallops or chicken with a creamy herb sauce. A takeaway roast chicken and something green can also be a perfectly respectable plan. Put the food in the middle, pour for the people who want wine, and sit down while it is still warm. Hosting includes being there.
♌ Leo (July 23 – August 22) — Let the Evening Find Its Own Spotlight

Wear the excellent outfit. Use the glasses you love. Then give the evening permission to develop without checking whether it is sufficiently memorable. Sometimes the best part is the slightly ridiculous story someone tells while the plates are being cleared.
Tenuta delle Terre Nere Etna Rosso 2024 brings a little Sicilian drama without requiring you to stage the entire evening. Nerello Mascalese leads this Etna red, with a little Nerello Cappuccio alongside it. The estate describes its Etna Rosso as fragrant and fresh, with a slender shape and some grip. Consider it with roast chicken or mushroom pasta, then let dinner find its rhythm. A wine from the slopes of a volcano already has an entrance covered. You can enjoy the company.
♍ Virgo (August 23 – September 22) — Edit the Plan, Keep the Pleasure

Your instinct to improve things has been given a lot of material lately. Try applying it to the length of your own to-do list. Remove one unnecessary step from dinner. Buy the bread. Decide which detail will actually make the evening more enjoyable and spend your attention there.
Maison Trimbach Riesling 2022 offers the sort of clear direction you appreciate. Trimbach makes its classic Alsace Riesling in a dry style; the 2022 winemaker notes suggest lemon, pear and white flowers, with a lively, crisp finish. Try it with fish or chicken in a white-wine sauce. You are allowed to recognize something good and stop adjusting it. The same rule can apply to the place settings.
♎ Libra (September 23 – October 22) — Make the Choice, Enjoy the Company

The restaurant options are all fine. The invitation wording is already gracious. At some point, the most generous thing you can do is choose a time and send it. November asks for a little more decisiveness from your very elegant negotiating committee.
Roederer Estate Brut is an Anderson Valley sparkling blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with oak-aged reserve wines adding depth. The producer describes pear, spice and hazelnut with a fresh finish. It is a lovely candidate for the first pour with salty snacks, when everyone is settling in and the evening still feels full of possibilities. Toast the fact that the plan became an actual dinner. That took a decision, darling.
